My Top 5 Favorite (Male) Characters of All Time

And...we're back! If you remember from waaaay back in April of LAST YEAR (crazy, right?) I did My Top 5 Favorite (Female) Characters of All Time and I said that I had to do a male version sometime in the future. So, here we are! I picked different boys than those featured in My Top 10 Book Boyfriends, but rest assured, they are on the list! Also...I know I said 5, but really it's 8, because I lumped together boys from the same book series (it's so I could fit more, shh don't tell anybody!)

5. Roden, The False Prince

I'm partial to Jaron, but I love Roden too. I can't say much about him, because of spoilers, but for the many times he angered me, he made it up to me ten-fold. Roden and Jaron are the embodiment of sibling rivalry/friendship, which I love.

4. Jacks, Once Upon a Broken Heart

If I hadn't already put Dante and Julian in My Top 10 Book Boyfriends post, they would have gone on here. But alas, I need new material, and so appears Jacks. A Fate, the Prince of Hearts, and just a guy who really likes apples (honestly, same though). He made me really mad a couple (scratch that- a lot) of times during the trilogy, but he redeemed himself in the end.

3. Kai and Kitt Azer, The Powerless Trilogy

I FINALLY read Powerless! I am so glad I did; Fearless made me cry so so hard, and Lauren Roberts just spun such a beautiful story with these two princes. But if I had to pick a favorite...Kitt. Unpopular opinion, probably, but I'll defend him until the very end. He is (for the most part) sweet and innocent and caring and, yes, I do choose to turn a blind eye to his more...flawed characteristics. I am SO excited we get a novella about him, even though I've spun his love story in my head myself ;)

But Kai!!! I would never forget him. If I had read Powerless before My Top 10 Book Boyfriends post, he would most definitely have been on there. Perhaps he might have even one-upped Ravi Singh...

2. Jameson and Grayson Hawthorne, The Inheritance Games

The Inheritance Games had been on my TBR list for a while, and I am so glad I picked it up. I plan to reread very soon (I also really want to read Grandest Games, but unfortunately for my sanity I need it in paperback, and it's not out yet). Jameson and Grayson are another brother duo that I adore, and like Kitt and Kai, I prefer the older brother- Grayson. Maybe I have a thing for blondes? I've bleeped out a name in the quotes below, so I can avoid spoilers as much as possible.

1. Dean Redding and Michael Townsend, The Naturals

It's two people. I'm sorry.

Actually, no I'm not. They're both amazing. Dean is my favorite little(ish) guy with a whole lot of issues (but we won't get into those), and Michael is my favorite comic-relief trust-fund baby in a toxic relationship (Y'all who've read it-- you know what I'm talking about *wink). The Naturals is such an amazing series, and I am seriously considering bumping it up to my favorite book series...ever. Yes, it is that good. I don't know what it is about Jennifer Lynn Barnes, but her books do something to me, and that is why her characters are at the top of this list. #1 AND #2. I bleeped out a name again in the quotes, so y'all don't get any spoilers- cause where's the fun in that?
